What is Counselling and how can it help?
There are times when life is a struggle, obstacles block your way, feelings can be confusing, stressful and overwhelming.
You may feel stuck or like you are going around in circles and unsure of which way to move forward.
You may have a sense that there is more to life, more contentment, more ease, more joy but you may feel lost alone, and unsure of how to get there.
You may have identified specific issues that trouble you, such as stress, anxiety, depression or addictions.
You may have experienced a traumatic event or events.
You may have experienced loss. This may be through bereavement, loss of a relationship, employment or through health issues.
Lancaster Counselling is a way of finding out about yourself in a supportive relationship. This relationship can provide an opportunity to talk through and explore these difficult issues so that you can start to gain a better understanding of them, of yourself and ways of responding to them. A consequence of counselling may be that you start to find more meaning and contentment in your life.
